NEED HELP! I am a frustrated mother of a 3 year old daughter and 10 week old daughter. In July of 2007 I purchased a 2007 GMC Yukon Denali...didn't mind paying the hefty price b/c I thought I was getting a top-notch automobile with all the bells and whistles. It only had several thousand miles on it, and I was given a perfectly clean CARFAX report along with the dealer's word that this vehicle had not been wrecked and was in emaculate condition. I drove over 500 miles from Mississippi to Texas to purchase the vehicle and save a few thousand on the price.
After a few months of having the Denali, I was driving down the interstate (going the speed limit) and the vehicle completely shut down. I was panicking as I tried to carefully steer off the road onto a safe spot. Waiting awhile, I was able to crank it up and immediately took it to my hometown GMC dealership. It was under warranty and they found numerous codes related to the problems. Over the next year the Denali has been to the shop on average once a month. I have had an attorney and have contacted the Texas Dept of Transportation for help. They were able to tell me that the vehicle had in fact been wrecked, repaired, and sold at an auction. Texas laws are different, so there is no penalty for dealers selling previously wrecked cars and not disclosing that information. The dealership we purchased the car from recently shut it doors due to numerous fraudulant activities.
My hometown GMC dealership will no longer work on the vehicle now that they are aware of the previous wreck. I pay $792 plus $95 insurance a month on an unreliable unsafe vehicle.
Basically everywhere I have turned for help, I have been turned down. I can't afford to pay a note on a vehicle that is not even drivable. WHAT DO I DO...I NEED HELP!
